LIFE IS GOOD- DOWN A POUND TODAY

ok, I really love my scale - it read 201.2 down another pound since yesterday! whhewww hooooo! I guess screaming in the bathroom first thing in the morning is not good for Mr. Fleur's heart!
okay- so 1.2 pounds to go to reach my goal of being down under 200- Wednesday is my birthday so I am really determined. I figure I could give myself the best birthday present of all- losing this weight!
So clean eating and some exercise!
Back to work today but it pales in comparison to my excitement to being so close to the goal!
Okay bloggers- have a great start to your week and thank goodness for HCG!
Last night looked at calendar and already planning next round- think I am shooting for June- we will see!

  1. May I make a suggestion here? I know how anxious you are to lose those 1.2 lbs. However, you are in P3 now, and the goal here is to stabilize at your LDW/LIW, not to lose more weight. By trying to lose more weight now, you will undo the stabilizing of your hypothalamus. Even though it would be nice to see the one-anything number on the scale, that should not be your focus right now. Your hypothalamus needs to reset itself at your new LDW/LIW. You also need to maintain your LDW/LIW in P4, before beginning a new round.

By trying to lose more weight in P3, past your LDW/LIW, Dr. Simeons tells us the following:

"An ex-patient should never gain more than two pounds without immediately correcting this, but it is equally undesirable that more than two lbs. be lost after treatment, because a greater loss is always achieved at the expense of normal fat. Any normal fat that is lost is invariably regained as soon as more food is taken, and it often happens that this rebound overshoots the upper two lbs. limit."

Even though it may be possible for you to lose additional weight during P3, you won't be losing abnormal fat, but will be losing normal fat which your body needs. It will also mess with your hypothalamus' ability to reset itself, which is so important. You need to reset your hypothalamus so that you won't see THIS weight on your scale again. I don't know if you follow helderheid's blog (link here: http://journeytomeviahcg.blogspot.com/)

but she did what you are attempting to do right now. She wasn't very happy with the weight she reached last round, and instead of maintaining her LDW, she lost more weight in P3. She has now regained almost all of the weight she lost in her last round.

I don't want to tell you what to do, but I'm sure you want this round to be as successful as possible, and not undo all of the hard work you put in this round. Please consider what I'm saying.....

  3. thanks so much gals- that will help me refocus and enjoy where I am at- you are right the long term goal is moe important than the immediate results- they are temporary - like the pleasure of eating bad food- but it catches up with you!
Lavenderdiva- so well put and thanks for the quote- I totally missed that and I need to reread the manual so I can really make it work for the long haul!

very happy to be around the loer 200 mark and not the middle mark- i will make another jump next round- you are right and I cannot wait for the pasta! yummy!
    Thanks gals!
It takes a village to raise a child but it takes fellow bloggers to help lose the weight and not your mind!
